transmission ??

    im trying to figure out what tranny i have. my truck is a 90 22r with the 4 speed manual. i need to buy a new exhuast manifold and there is a difference between them if you have a "y" tranny or a "w" tranny please help

    i think it tells you on the data tag on the door.

    ok looked on my door there is nothing i can see. but under the hood tag says its a 22r fed w/hav i think there is a w i dont know

    i have a g series in my truck and its a 89...

    i think u can also tell what one it is from the side of the clutch fork i think driver side is a w series and if its on the passenger side its a g series i think is how it goes

    All of the pre-95.5 W series in the trucks have the slave on the passenger side.
