Trans swap q's

    I have a W55 I'd like to swap in for my G57. Anyone know offhand if the driveshafts are different between these beauties? I could crawl under and measure, just wondering if anyone's done it before.

    if the legnth of the tranny is the same or within .5in the drive shaft wont be a issue. a guy over at toyotanation.com in the pre-88 forum went from a G to a W on accident, then swapped back when the speedo cable didnt fit. not sure if he actually drove it or not, i helped a bit but he gave up i think.


    the big hiccup is the speedo cable, the W is longer, but i bet a celica one would work ;)
