My 89 2wd 22re 5speed truck is having issues going into gear once I get it in I can drive normal. I recently change my clutch pedal bracket with a new one. Other than my bracket braking everything was find then. Could I be low on trans fluid?

If you start the truck in neutral will it go into gear when you push in the clutch? If not if you start it with the trans in gear and your foot on the clutch can you drive normally?

May have to adjust your pushrod length on the clutch pedal. You may not be depressing the rod enough to get full pressure on the slave thus not allowing the slave to extend enough to disengage.

The pedal feels good. When I start the truck itll go in its just a lil hard to get it in. As far as the push rod I do have to adjust it, its grabbing high..but the funny thing is after I posted this n finished work on my way home everything went smoothly same as this morning. So now im just looking at adjusting the push rod. Thank you all

adjust it so that there is minimal freeplay as u go to press it.
make sure to leave a small small gap. like 2-3mm. thats how i did mines

the pedal height should be set. its the rod length and when the pedal contacts and pushes the rod in -this is what makes the difference.
unless the bracket is still bend/bad or mounted wrong or something.

    ...but its driving good now?
is the noise from the actual pedal or the master cyl?
its it only hard time putting it in to 1st gear or all the gears? do u hear any grinding/abnormal noise?

No grinding. It goes into gear I believe the noise is coming from the master. I hope the bracket isnt bent its brand new from dealer. I installed it good. Im thinking of jist changing it today and see what happens hope it works... get back to u as soon as im finish
