tranny

    1992 toyota pickup
    i have what i believe is a w57 in my truck and for some reason it has alot of pickup in 1st 3rd 4th and 5th but in 2nd gear not so much itll hop up to like 50 or 60 i think in second but thats dogging it =p but why does 2nd gear take long oh and just recently i was showing off to my friend and my truck wouldnt go it to second or 3rd i think low tranny fluid but can anyone explain the long gear thankyou

    The transmission probably doesn't like you showing off. if the fluids low, fill it up before it's gone for good (if it isn't already)

    Why do you think it's a W57? The truck should have a W56. check the build plate in the door sill. (or best yet take a pic) Either way, the long 2nd gear is probably more of a perception issue... just got out of 1st (With lots of go) but haven't been in higher gears long enough to get used to it (3rd and 4th you've already gone through 2nd and 3rd)
