I'm thinking of replacing my inner fenders with trailer fenders. Where have you guys gotten your trailer fenders? Any specific size or other detail? I know its gonna take a little work to get everything lined up and together, you have any advice for me? Thanks
Got mine from a trailer supply in Oakland ,Ca. 180 degree/10'' wide/18 Ga. I used 3 ,& spliced @ the rear in the bed area ,as wanted a little wider! Photo's are on this site!
I have some photos on my build thread also but like truck action aid 180 degree/ 10" wide/ 18ga. I got my fenders from a boat and trailer place locally I only used 2 for the front and had to customize the drivers side pretty heavily to fit but its possible, just remember to measure 100 times before cutting haha
put this in my wifes 4runner they're 28"x8". i paid $12 a piece, but they're normally closer to $15. i bought them at a local trailer supply.
They shouldn't extend past the inner wall. You cut the inner wall high up & weld to it! Use body seam sealer over all your welding areas on both sides also!
they go into the engine bay about 7 3/4". i cut off the lip on the side towards the fender, which took a little off the width. the tire still goes farther into the engine bay, but once i do drop spindles it'll line up nicely with the fender.
