Toyota Pickup SR5 1983 maintenance?

    83 SR5 4x4
    I bought this truck a couple months ago, when I first started driving it I was getting 320 miles/tank now a month or so later I am getting 220 if I am lucky. Someone mentioned replacing the fuel filter and the spark plugs. Anything else I should do?

    If the carb is original you may have issues there with leaky rubber parts, do you smell excess fuel when truck is idling ? Air pressure in tires is ok ? long shot but could affect it. Any pics ? I love the 79-83 model Yotas. Best of luck
