How hard would it be to get a Toyota diesel motor swap legal in CA? I really wanna do this swap I think it would be unique an badass plus they sound pretty badass with a stack.
think it would involve a smog referee, which unless everything is perfect its gonna get kicked back. And i think california banned diesel swaps, so i doubt it will pass inspection anyways... cali sux. easier method is register your truck somewhere where there isnt smog ( like julian, ca ) and then just do the swap.
I read up on it just now on toyotadiesel.com an it said you go an fill out a statement of facts paper an change it from gas to diesel and an employee will come out an check an see if it's diesel an that's it. Seems way to simple but I'm really thinking about getting a yota turbo diesel
that how i get the Rhd they import the 4runner diesel front clips. then the tack the motors and i buy the clips. if you need one i can fine one
I'm really thinkin about it just wondering what I would have to go through to get it CA legal so I wouldn't have to smog it
