Hi everybody, I'm new here and just found this site today. I have a 82 2 wheel drive short bed. Finley a site for 2 wheel drives! I need to remove one of the torsion bars so I can get my front sway bar back in. I had removed it while engine was out. I pulled the engine and left the trans in. I supported the trans by laying a pipe over the torsion bars and resting the trans on the pipe. I later deiced it would be much easier to pull the trans to reattach it to the engine. I then decided it would make everything easier to remove the sway bar to make room to remove the trans and reinstall both engine and trans as a unit. I was able to remove the sway bar with a lot of manipulating without removing a sway bar, the weight of the trans on the sway bars gave me the added room to do this but just barely. Now I can't get it back in without removing one of the torsion bars. My Haynes Manual isn't very clear or at least not to me on removing it. Can anybody tell me the best way to do this? Thanks
