Found this online, figured I'd share it with my peeps and save some lives. http://abcnews.go.com/video/playerIndex?id=4826897 Peace.
Toyo Tires won't sell a tire to our dealers that is older than 5 years. We scrap anything older than that. You can firgure out the age of your tire by looking at the DOT #. http://toyotires.com/care-safety/sidewall-markings
Good info to have. Yokohama is the same way. I tried to find a tire to match my set after getting a flat on my hearse, but since I don't drive it that much, the tires have very few actual miles on them (they still look brand new). They told me good luck on finding one, because they have all been dertoyed for many years, lol. I did eventually find one on ebay, but once these are done, I'll have to buy all new wheels and tires since no one makes that size anymore to fit my car, lol. (and all my suspension was built around that exact tire and wheel)
thats crazy ive never even second guessed on new tires maybe looked at the speed rating but thats bout as detail as it get and ofcourse if its going to fit now used tires i check for rot and cracking i dont know makes me curious what i got on my wifes car now shes hauling my boy around and i just did put new tires on before i left to come out here.....think i needa ta make a phone call thanx for the info bro thats still carzy cant get over that
Very good info to have, thanks 88! Did anyone else notice that almost all of the cars in the warehouse were Explorer's? I'm wondering if they are from the tire recall on them a few years back.
I noticed the Explorers in the warehouse too. Too top-heavy and too fast, make it even worse to try to control. We have one, so I KNOW. From now on, I gonna check before getting new tires.
