this is a 86 pickup base
so i searched on here and looked on the tire sites and the truck takes either a 195/75/14 or a 205/70/14.
going by the factory spare tire, this is wrong....i cannot find a tire size sticker on the truck, the spare is a 7.00x14 that looks like it has never been on the road.....height is 26.22".......a 205/70/14 is 25.3"

my truck has 195/70/14's on it and the speedometer reads 8 mph too fast, i have trouble believing that a 195/70/14 when it should have a 195/75/14 should make an 8 mph difference.

any loss in fuel economy going to 15" tires and wheels, how is the manual steering with say a 205/65/15?

ready to order four general altimax rt's, could get 15" also as i have a couple sets of crown vic wheels here and i read that you guys can use them (i did test fit a 16" lincoln mark VII wheel on the rear) no extra 16" wheels tho.

original tire size in the '80 would have been 185/14. On my trucks theres a sticker in the door way on the cab. That size is equivalent to 195/75-14. I use this website when changing tire sizes. It will give you a % on how far of your speedo will be. Use 195/75-14 as your starting point. Hope it helps

My old ex cab had a combo of 205/75 and 205/70 on the 14" steelies. I got new 205/70/14s for it. Honestly i didnt notice a change from the 75 to the 70.
