Got a clutch kit today and the throw out bearing is just a simple bearing. The one I took out has a collar and ears on it. Did I get the wrong bearing or can I use this without the ears?

 

you are supposed to press that new bearing onto the old collar with ears on it. usually they fall off in your hand...give the old one a small tap with a hammer
