The proper way to install ring terminals.

    First, put your terminal in a vice.

    Then, strip your wire about 3/8 of an inch i'd guess.

    Then heat the crap out of your terminal with a Benzo torch. Takes a bit, but it will get there. Once heated, push your solder into the lug and let it pool up inside.

    Once it's pooled up and still liquid/hot, push you wire in for a few seconds and remove the heat while doing so. The solder will firm up.

    Then, last but not least (most importantly, really) heatshrink everything tight.

    Good write up :waytogo:, I hate to see nice things installed then when you really look its a cluster f*** of wiring behind it.

    That's what i'm fixing :). We threw the truck together so I could drive it, now everything is getting sorted.

    this is how I make mine

    open ring termial solder then capped with solder no crimping

    takes a abit on how to do it but it looks killer and is stroung as hell
