I decided to make a thread of my old truck. The truck is no longer around. I made a project out of the truck, and documented my whole build up. Here it is...

Here are Pics I took after I recently got it:
It started as a single stage nissan metalic olive colored paint. Tan interior with 4runner limited leather bucket seats. It was the original 22r 5speed. Bone stock motor with a flowmaster exhaust. 15x8 centerline rims 5 holes on the face with a ruffle lip. To this day I haven"t seen these rims on anyone elses vehicle. I see rims with the same face but not with the ruffled lip. Clear corners, clear blinkers, clear taillights, chrome front one piece bumper, no rear bumper.

The stock motors timing guides were history, and you could hear the timing chain really loud. I decided to pull the motor and rebuild it. When i pulled the motor i decided to paint the engine bay, the whole frame, under the bed, under the cab, the insides of the fenders, and the inside of the cab since the truck was oringinally red the inside was still red, the door jams and the engine bay was also still red. After painting everything black by hand, the truck went to be bodyworked and painted.

    Truck being bodyworked:

decided on aero racing wheels you may see them on nascars. I decided on 15x8 with 3 inch back space, black powder coated wheels with the yellow arrow and yellow streak around the lip.

the centerlines were badly curbed before the truck went to paint. one rainy day i was going sideways 3rd gear up a road then the truck decided to go over a curb. i have since took them to a machine shop and had them repaired

The first motor I rebuilt with my good friends. when stripped it down we found out the pistons were .020 over. Mistake I made was I just changed the piston rings and main bearings on the bottom half. I had installed new timing kit, new water pump, Lc pro oil pump, new freeze plugs, had the head resurfaced, valves reseated, new valve seals, Lc dual valve springs with titanium retainers, Lc stage 3 cam. Had timing cover, valve cover, block, and oil pan all dipped in the hot tank and cleaned. I had a cannon intake with dual solex mikunis, going out a pace setter header, through 2 1/4 piping and a thrush welded muffler. That was the first motor I put back in the truck when I got the cab back from paint.

After running the truck for a short while, Number one piston rod knocked, and the truck got to sit again:/

After letting it sit for a while, I decided to put back in the original motor in just to run it, with the bad timing guides. Since I had rebuilt one that I had on the side. I had installed a centerforce with the new motor, and just left it in. I put the tired motor back in just to run the truck. It was the tired motor with headers, straight pipe and exhaust with a stock intake cut to single plane with a 38 weber and centerforce clutch. As soon as i got money i rebuilt another bottom half and was going to use the other head i had built for the other motor, with the cam and springs, new rockers, fresh valves etc. etc. etc.

Before the newly fresh bottom half was rebuilt the tired motor sucked in a bolted from the air cleaner on the weber that got stuck in the number one piston, stayed there for a while and left through the muffler and tail pipe, heres what it did:

For the new bottom half I ordered, all new bearings, hastings rings, Lc steet hyperuetectic pistons, new freeze plugs, had the crank resurfaced, cylinders rehoned, block hot tanked, painted the block black. I shot off all the metal shavings off and out of the head with a high pressure solvent blaster! lol

This is what I ended up with:
