Just scored this little beauty for $300, runs great and drives pretty good, body is rough as well as the interior. 22R powered with a 4 speed. Got 224,XXX miles on her. Plans are to remove that disgusting rear bumer thing, lower it 3 inches, put some sort of bucket seats in it, staighten up the frontend and body some, paint it satin black, and do something with the wheels.
Yeah I saw it on craigslist and was calling the guy on my way out the door to tell him it was sold. Who can say no to a running driving Toyota pickup for that cheap.
if u can find a old 89-91 honda civic hatch the buckets from that should bolt right out without and bracket mods or drilling the ground if not then one from a 84-88 4runner or sr5 pickup will fit
Finally brought her home today, figured I'd share some more pics The old Ford tow rig, 300 i6, 4 speed. May not be fast but gets the job done Front Rear Interior
Not a bad truck..you could more the tripple you $300 if you wanted to part it out. Hella good find. How does the motor run? I like you tow pig. I need to find one for myself.
Motor runs awesome, It has to have been rebuilt at some point. I trailored it because it has a short in the taillights, expired tabs, and it has been sittin for a couple months. Once I got it home I drove it up and down the road a little and Im gonna fix it up and make a decent little driver out of it. Top priority is fix the lights, a tuneup, all new vacuum lines, it desparately needs shocks, defrost needs fixed, wipers, and then I'll start with the other stuff like seats, lowering it, windshield, etc....
Got a little done on it this weekend. Sefoamed it, put all new vacuum lines in, new plugs, wires, air filter and oilchange, took the nasty old bench seat and floor mat out, cleaned the interior, put some freem Integra seats in and lowered the front some. The heart of the beast The the trashpile Mess of the interior Cleaned and new seats Dropped frontend
Yeah, Im pretty happy with em for free, gotta fab/adapt some rails as they didnt come with any. They came out of a 1st gen Acura Integra
