was looking at some of the american 04 Tacoma front ends on eBay.

does anyone know if this will fit straight onto a 2004 Australian hilux? the shape looks almost identical, just different style.

 

All american 01-04 have the same front end. I would love to trade for your front clip. I think you would need fenders,grill,headlight,corner lights and a hood. I have some extra parts for you to use but think shipping would killl the deal.

 

can we see some pics of your front end? I didn't realize Australia had a different version.

 

that's the Australian front end, looks a very similar shape to a Tacoma, just different style

 

then the 04 tacoma, looks very similar. whether identical, i dont know

 

Looks like you'll need to change the hood, fenders, grille, bumper & valance, front lights

 

Its actually a pretty big job, not a simple swap and bolt on mod

 

I love that front end. I like how the bumper/valance dont have any light in em. Plus over there they still have the wing window. I wish I had the $$$ to import one to my house.

 

for the most part its a bolt on mod but you will need to change the core support. the most difficult part would be fabing up bumper brackets, but if u can measure and weld its not too bad
