so i got my hands on a autogage 5' tach gage with shift light. i know it can't be hard to install but id rather play things safe and see if anyone can tell me the best way to install it. its your standard 4 wire tach, white (12v dash light), red (12v ignition switch), black (ground) and green (ignition coil neg). now the black and green are simple but its the white and red i need help with. im trying to find what wires to tie into under the dash. any help would be appreciated.

white only has to go to the existing dash lighting if you want to dim it with them. otherwise you can leave it off (no light) or run it to the B+ source you use for red (on whenever the truck is). As for the red, you can get creative. I'd suggest something that's on with the accessory position...like the radio. or on with the run position like the ECU. You do have wiring diagrams in this class of yours?

just put those wires in the fuse box, take out your gauge light fuse or something put the wire in and put the fuse back in, do the same for ign. thats what i did when i had an aftermarket tach
