symptoms of a vacuum leak?

    well, i think i may have a vacuum leak.. it idles kind of high, well sounds like it anyways (no tach) . .. but would a vacuum leak make the truck kinda bog down/ hesitate when given gas.. then outta nowhere regain normal power.. its only after the truck warms up

    Vacuum leaks can be found by spaying carb cleaner over the lines one @ a time until you see a increase in RPM's!!:cool:

    i thought it dies out if you spray where the leak is.. thats what happened on my Honda

    if you spray brake clean it will bog down

    carb clean will make it speed up and is way safer for rubber and plastic bits.


    kinda also sounds like your choke may be misadjusted, or if its efi the cold start injector could be F'n up. could try running some fuel system cleaner through
