Hi, my names Barret, or Bear, whichever, i finally got on here, i signed up under another user account a few months ago but no matter how hard a tried i could not get permissions, so i abandoned the user name and started this one.
I live in the south, i like it here, currently have a Honda Accord EX and an Acura Integra GSR that are my daily driver and play car. I'm at the point i'm about to put the stop on modifying the Integra and start on my toyota, which i'm about to start a build thread on tonight when i get home. It's an 86 standard cab 2wd.

I have a good building ground for this truck, many good idea's, and i want some original things that no one else has done. I live in a great area for mini truck's, even though they aren't as many as the import crowd i'm usually around, we do have some great local shows within 2 hours drive time of here. Showfest, Scrapin' the Coast, Siknic, Pandemonium, etc...

Thats the only thing I hate about living in the middle of the northwest. Lowdown in the Southsound is the closest show to me and thats 8-10 hrs away. I'm gonna try and hit as many shows as I can in the southwest next year, like West Coast Nats but thats an 18 hr drive.

 

Yea, Well i got lucky i guess.. i live an hour north of New Orleans and an hour from the Coast.. I think the farthest i would drive to a show would be maybe Texas Heat wave, but thats only because its such a large show, but so is Scrapin' the Coast, i'm an hour from it and its a 4 day show now, its pretty big. Anyways nice meeting ya.

 

Welcome an can't wait to see the build thread. An thts pretty legit that you live so close to those shows. There aren't many big ones where I live but if I took the 3-4 hour drive I cud make it to some shows

 

Yea i will post it this evening, it will be a slow build thread, unless i get crazy and sell my integra to speed up the funds on it, but no one just builds a 30k dollar truck in such a short time, unless you got the green.. but right now i have an integra i have put about 15k into over the last 4 years.. and the toyota is in a homely state right now and needs alot of love, i'm also keeping a log of money spent on the truck so that people can have a realistic idea of what it costs to bring an old beat up truck to life again.

 

Cool, my step-dad's from Morgan City, LA. He still has family there.

 

strange, i was born in Morgan City, La and i have alot of family there too, actually went down for Turkey day last week..
