Stubby antenna

    I want to not fiddle with the automatic and very f'd up antenna that is on my truck... can I just get a euro (think 80's fuba) and stick it on? don't know what the automatic part changes from an old school fixed mast.

    The Stubby Antenna :confused:

    not sure since i never had the retractable style.

    on mine, I cut mine down, made the hole on the tip bigger and stuck it on the now-short antenna that i have and superglued it.

    you may need a non-retracting assembly to keep it "upright"

    edit: I didn't drill out the hole in the ball, I ground down the wider bottom of the now-short piece so it fits in the hole of the ball.
