    starting problem*

soooo... this has been going on for a while... not sure if its my starter or a wiring problem... anyways when i start my car in the morning ( or at least when i try ) its no good... car will start fine with a jump or just by popping the clutch... car starts no problem these ways... the car will start when shut off but only after so long... really tired of having to push my car to start it, especially in front of my friends... If you guys have any suggestions please help me out... btw starter and battery are both less than a year old if that helps

i would take it to advance or orielys to have them do an altenator test on it. my truck used to do it every once in a while then one day my alt light came on so i got a new one and it hasnt done it since. if that doesnt work check your grounds

do you have the OEM batt connections?

    sounds like bad connections.

i would pull all the ground wires, scrape mounting points to bare metal, and throw new batt terminals on.

dont forget to cut off any coroded or frayed ends on the wires, or just get new ones. if you get new ground wires use 4ga wire instead of the stock 10ga.

It sounds like it is a connection problem to me also. Like ShoNuff said check the grounds. 9 times out of 10 that has been the problem for me when dealing with electrical.

grounds, connection, and that wire from the right fender apron directly to the battery.

i had the same issue with my 4x4, and gary (truck action) told me how to fix it. it is the trigger wire for the starter. the little one that clips onto the terminal. when they get old the signal gets week. you need a ford starter relay (i told the store for a 66 mustang). you run the cable from the positive side of the battery to the left side terminal, and a cable from the same terminal down to the starter. then cut the trigger wire in half. the half that goes to the wire harness gets connected to the small terminal on the ford relay (the left small one). and the other half hooks to the small right terminal and connects to the starter using the factory end. should work perfect after installing it.

i bought a new relay, cables, wire, and terminal ends for $45 from autozone. pretty easy to do.

check your connections, also have a hydrometer test done on your battery to see what shape the battery is in..... from the looks of your picture you live in full season weather and seasonal changes can have a drastic effect on the battery's power output.
