How do i adjust the steering wheel clear vision on a 1974 toyota hilux? I am about to do it on my lunch break, the alignment is good but the steering wheel is off just a bit. Is there a adjustment in the gearbox or in the drag link?

You can always park with the wheels straight. Pull the steering wheel and set it how you want it (as straight as the splines allow it)

Make sure the gearbox is centered though.

At this point they already aligned it with the wheel off center might as well do it wrong the right way lol

Pulled the wheel. Centered it. Tested it lock to lock and it was the same amount of turns. Im fine with that lol. For some reason i thought the wheel was square splined not fine splined

For anyone else reading you can also adjust both tierods to line the wheel back up if you already have a good toe setting.

Center your steering wheel and then pick a side to adjust, adjust that side's tie-rod locking sleeve until it looks straight while making sure to keep track of exactly how many turns you go on the sleeve. When you get the tire looking straight, adjust the opposite side the exact same number of turns to straighten it out as well. Keep an eye on the steering wheel to see if it moves from center as you do this because it may move a little as you adjust. Take it for a test drive to see if the steering wheel is straight going down the road or if you need to adjust a little more.

The important part is to count how many rotations on the tie-rod locking sleeve and matching it on the opposite side. This should keep your toe setting the same.

I did this on mine today.
