Ok so I have 2" drop spindles and 2" drop blocks installed on my truck now but would like to go a little lower. Call it another 2" all the way around. I want to maintain as much stiffness as possible in the suspension for performance reasons. So in other words I don't want to crank the torsions so what are my other options? The only lower control arms I have found are 3" and I think that might lower it too much. I need to be able to go crank to crank without rubbing on the fenders etc.

Well, an easy idea/project is to flip the balljoints if you havent already - Unbolt from bottom - bolt to top - easy for an inch, did it on my 87' without a hitch . . .

I plan on getting the aftermarket torsion bars but I want them to be as stiff as possible so I will be leaving them tight.

    so the bj flip.....

how does that effect handling, alignments, etc

    what are the negatives?

    essentially it doesnt affect alignment.

    but....

it seriously changes the load carrying capabilitys of the front suspension. your entire front load will be held up by the 4 balljoint nuts. imho its a good way to die.

i really dont reccommend flipping balljoints. i know others have done it with no problems, but its asking for trouble. and in spirited "performance" driving its just asking to fail at the worse possible time.

    that's what I was wondering..............

I will be running large tires and autocrossing so I don't want to break suspension stuff

anyone know someone that builds custom lower control arms?
