Starter Problem

    :shrug:Have owned many cars/trucks. Never had this one happen....sometimes truck starts grand. Sometimes starter makes no sound and won't start. Sometimes the starter grinds like I already have it started. Con-freakin'-fused!

    no clue, maybe new starter is going to be needed soon.

    it might be your ignition swtich (lock cylinder is technical term) when they start to go bad they will do wierd things. have you tested the battery? you can get the starter tested off the truck also.. hope this helps

    the only thing they will check is if it engages and spins.. not gunna do him any good sine it does that.

    It seems this is a regular problem. Not enough voltage to the starter! Can be fixed by installing a Ford starter soleniod.

    that depends on the guy doing the testing, when i tested them at advance you can hear the difference between a good starter and one going bad. But that does take abit to figure out. Hope you get the problem fixed
