I bought an SR5 cluster for my 88 22R Manual . It came out of a V-6 engine. To change the calibration for the tach do I have to add a pot-ten -ch -ometer(SP) or is there an adjustment in the cluster. Any advice appreciated. I had searched a while back and found a good thread on this but I can't locate it now

    Thanks,

lol the way you sounded out potentiometer, i've never seen the 2nd gen cluster im person before, but the potentiometer is the adjustment, 89-95 SR5 clusters have em, just open yours up and look for something that you can turn, if its like the 89-95 it will look like a phillips head screw, but there are many different styles of pots, check my build thread there is a pic in there of it

One more question. When I remove the cluster, to remove the lens from it, does it snap off or is it glued ? Do they come off easily ?

    Thanks

i'm not very good at taking the clear lens off, i've cracked every one ive tried to take out, they are glued and snapped, maybe try and pop it in the oven for like 2-3 minutes around 200 degrees, make sure to watch it..I've never tried the oven on the ones i cracked and i probably should have
