    Hello im a squidd really new to this off the shore vehicles im trying to replace my timing chain and was woundering if i had to take off the head or take off the oil pan i have every thing else off and still cant get the timing cover off and all the bolts r out. the water pump and oil pump r off as well its a 94 22re :verdict_in::brickknock:

    there is one bolt through the head into the top of the timing cover, its in a puddle of oil under the cam gear. Supposedly if you are careful you can do it without removing the head or pan.

    Its best to at least drop the oil pan. There are two oil pan bolts that go into the bottom of the timing cover that need to be removed anyways.
