speedometer

    Hello all i'm new and this is my first post:). i just change the tranny in my truck from a 4sp(89) to a 5sp(94). 4sp has a cable and 5sp has a plug:(. Is there any way to make it compatable? i was going to switch the cluster however, i have the same problem. :confused:

    gonna have to find a 5spd that doesnt have the electric speedo and get that... or your 4 spd one might work.. i believe they went to a electric speedo in either 92 so you have to find a 91or down.. and swapping your cluster wont work cause none of the wiring wont be there and you would basically need the whole harness cause i would assume the speed sensor goes through the computer... so just get a parts you need of a 91 or less...

    all you need is the adapter, they are removable...I'm talking about the part that has the plug un bolt it and find one that has the threaded end for the speedo cable, and just bolt that one in

    Yah my 94 is cable it just screwed into tranny so you'll need the adapter Joey was talking bout
