Where can I get one. I've been drivin around with no speedometer an think it's time to ge a new cable since the kid before me took it out an never put a new one in

 

you can go to the junkyard and find 1 its cheap is it electric or cable driven

 

there are speedo cable repair kits..go to a kragen or any parts store and get one. I had to use the stock end piece in the trans and attach it to the cable, but other then that its normal just like the directions on the box.

to use the end piece i used a die grinder and cut a tiny slit so i could get the old piece of cable out of the end, then slid the new cable in and crushed the end piece on to the new cable..easy

 

It's the cable kind. I don't even know if the cable is even there he said he took it out if I remember correctly

 

like the cable and houseing that it rides in is missing, or the cable inside the houseing is gone..
if the whole thing is gone that might require a junkyard trip, but almost any toyota pickup speedo cable will do then.

 

Hey Yota4life did you ever get this fixed or replaced?? Mine just broke yesterday morning I could hear it spinning and then snap just wondering how hard it is to do I got my dash apart right now but yah any pointers would be sweet.
