Made a 7hr trip today to get some 350z wheels for my truck. I have research a lil bit on fitment but still have a few questions. They are a staggered set with 245's in the rear. Do i need to take die grinder to center hole or use spacers in the rear? I would like to meep center caps. And for the front, i have read ppl using only 1/4" spacers. The guy i bought from said he was using 1 1/2" spacers. Would that much put the wheels into my fenders?

he was running them on a late 80's ranger. just by looking at them, it looks like with an inch and half spacer, the wheel would be in the fender. if its not, i know i wouldnt be able to turn without hitting them. i will just mess with them in the morning and figure it out myself. i just wanted to know what issues i would run into and have to deal with. i want these mounted asap.

heres the trick... the rear you either A) run a 1/4" spacer, or B) grind the center bore out till it clears. you'll be able to use the center caps from a late model celica and fit just fine on the wheels.

the front is where it gets a little difficult since we have the spindle snout in the way. you will need either a 1" to 1 1/4" spacer to clear enough space for you to use a center cap. if running a center cap is not that important... you can do the same for the front as you did with the rear and clear the dust cap on the spindle.

you could technically run like a 1" spacer on all 4 wheels and may need to slightly stretch your fenders to clear depending on your drop. heres some examples of one i did with 1/4" spacers...

SD you know of some Toyota logo center caps that fit stuff? Ill check my caddy caps and see what size they are. Something with a Toyota logo would be nicer. So people stop wondering if I have a caddy truck even tho the tailgate has a massive Toyota on it haha

thanks sd. that was very helpful. looks like using 1/4" spacers will put the wheel exactly wheee i want it. using the caps are not that important. esp if i have to work the fenders. guess its off to autozone for spacers and longer wheel studs. oh, is there special lug nuts i have to use?

got them mounted. no issues at all. used 5/16" spacers and all 4 and couldnt use the front center caps, but thats no big deal. definitely gonna have to do more of a drop now. but still looks good. so now i guess i will get started on the notch in the rear and making a lower ball joint spacer for the front. having new paint and new wheels is like having a new truck! dont even look the same from the outside.

Why would you need to make a ball joint spacer? just flip it and turn the bracket upside down. reinstall hardware and your done.

ball joint already flipped. i want 2-3 more inches and i cant justify spending $350 for lower control arms when i can fab up my own for free. and i figured since they use ball joint spacers on the uppers to raise a 4wd and it gets beat to crap, spacer on the lower would be fine on a truck going low and slow.
