Had to sell my baby cause I am a parapalegic now and can't drive stick anymore. I sold it for $800. It sat in the backyard while I was in the hospital or 10 months. The truck didnt do too well under an acorn tree. And all the bondo cracked and fell off in places. It barely ran too. It went to a good home tho. The buyer is going to restore it to factory specs. It will be missed dearly.

hear is a pic of what did it in for me. 1967 Chevy C-50 dump. brakes went out going downhill and lipped going about 60. I was thrown out and rolled over. the truck was built like a tank. not much damage.

was it a company truck? did it have hydraulic brakes? i work on heavy equipment, it really bugs me when companies run outdated equipment.

It wasn't a company truck. It was my grandfather's. it had no brake luid in the resevoir. the pedal just stuck to the floor. The brakes on the truck would lock up constantly and would have to be bled. I guess one of the wheel cylinder bleeder screws wasn't tightened enough and it drained all the fluid out. the good lord has blessed my family and me greatly. the doctors said I would never have feeling or movement in my legs again. but now I have 75% feeling and can move my legs some and even stand for a few seconds. you never realize how precious life is until something like this happens. there have been so many people from across the country who have sent money, cards, food, and prayers to my family. Thanks for your concern and prayers my fellow yota minitruckers.

thanks for the concern.its been 2.5 years now. i can move my legs and have most of the feeling back. i dont think i will ever be able to drive agaian without some foot braces to help with the foot drop. another hurdle will be trying to get into another yota. im 6'2. i currently have a 91 ford econoline with a wheelchair lift and hand controls. its a piece of ****. i hate fords. but i needed a wheelchair van. hopefully one day i will buy another yota.
