I just moved from the coast where there was rarely any snow to 4600 feet elevation in northern California. So I've been out messing around in the snow a bit in my '79. Nothing major, but I snapped a couple pics I thought were cool just a couple miles from my house.

When the snow gets really deep here I am going to test out the trucks snow wheeling capabilities more extensively. It performs a bit strangely with the rear end welded up. I pretty much have to be in 4 all the time on snowy hills and even on flat ground it is squirrely as hell in 2wd in the snow. I just need to get used to it I guess.

Nice! Looks like fun. I can't wait to get a 4runner so I can do that.

4 low 3rd gear for deep stuff :waytogo:

but i F'n hate snow. lots of high revs and a lot of gas, to get your feet wet eventually when someone gets stuck and nobody can make it past so everybody digs out.
