so the RHD run into an problem, my clutch hit the EGR on the back of the intake. so i can build a custom ERG pipe or go with the illegal smog and block it off the EGR
what the 70 or the 92? if its the 70 ditch the bitch! if its the 92 make the pipe...gonna save ya a headache later
none. the egr only opens up on the freeway and only under partial load, the evap stuff doesnt do anything cept burn off evaporated fuel.... does look a lot prettier though without all that stuff. you can advance your timing 10-15 degrees but you gotta reset it when you go for smog, and you will have to adjust your idle when you do the timing as well.
ditch the smog crap........... cost me 200 bucks to smog my truck every other 2 years...... smog is cali's most successful, longest unchecked scam in history.... its another money making gimmick them damn hippies came up with........ f u c k em'
Depends on what your plans are: DD or weekend fun it'll run better in the long run to keep it unless it's gonna run big bucks to fix. the engine bay IS a lot cleaner without but dillinjas right, it doesn't hurt anything and even helps in some conditions. and yet their still broke lol. emissions on dynos costs 10x what they make on fines. I forget how many hundreds of thousands of dollars EACH dyno costs to maintain per year plus techs to run them and more paperwork pushers, etc. That's why IL stopped doing emissions for cars older than '96
i'm so glad i don't live in cali! on a daily basis you can see z71's and car's here with straight pipes, open headers, etc.. no one cares.. no one.. ha. When we get a vehicle inspection they check, brake lights, turn signals, head lights, horn.. that's it.
