short bed in a long bed frame

    1980 toyota pickup
    I have a 80 long bed yota and I want to put a short bed in it ...does anybody knows if the if the mounting holes are the same or if I need to make some modifications to it...

    the front of the beds are completley different length . there is 9" of differance between the short and long , making the wheel well center off by that much . no it wont work

    you could do it, but it would take a heck of a lot of modifying.
