Hey, guys. I've been a fan of toyota pickups for a long time, but never found myself in a position to buy one. Well, my Durango gave up the ghost yesterday and if I'm going to get to work without getting drenched on my motorcycle, I'm gonna need something new. Might as well have fun with it, right? So here I am to study up and try to make an informed purchase. I don't have much time, gotta buy as soon as the tax return comes, but hopefully I'll garner enough knowledge from you guys that I can get a good ride. Then y'all can help me take care of it and get the most. -Ben
Pretty much any Toyota is going to be a good truck. Try and find one under 200,000 miles. Ask alot of questions. Like about the timing chain guides. If they say it's rebuilt ask to see paperwork. Toyotas will last forever if you take care of them.
its nice to see that you want to educate yourself before making a purchase, do you know what gen you are looking for?
I'm definitely looking for a 4x4 and nothing pretty. My budget is pretty modest, like $2,000. There are a few prospects on Craigslist.
