So I picked up a basket case Toyota from Bob Grant today. Need to be finished bagging, and put back together. I am going to give myself a $1000 budget to bag it and get it on the road, build a cheap shop truck. I already have a lot of parts on hand. Probably will go slowly since this will only happen after hours...



I pretty much really need something with a bed, since I only have an Audi now..and I miss having something bagged soooo much.

Ya they are the Lexus RX wheels off my old truck. I held onto them for a few years.

 

Correct if Im wrong but Ive been looking for a solid rear window for my 82 which I still cant find and you go out and get yourself a great truck a solid rear!

The glass is out there, I think you can even buy it new. I've got two other one piece rear windows. I don't think its rare. The one piece side glass is though. I only have two sets of that now. What I can't find is a clean OEM windshield. I had one but my friend broke it.. I don't like the PPG ones with the tint along the top.

Ya I think he sold it then bought it back then sold the frame an scraped the cab? I think that's what I read on his forum awhile back

 

Ya, it got sold/parted out a few years ago. Regret it now, but past is past. Build a better one, blah blah blah.

 

Youre right the rear is not rare but building on a budget cause everyone that has had one always is asking too much. X2 on the windshield cause mine shattered as I tried to remove it off the truck. Glad I did cause the metal lip that holds the rubber seal and windshield has corrosive rust which meant if I drove it like that the windshield would have eventually broke while I drove!

 

I cant see a new one being more than $100. Find a cheap glass shop, they will probably put it in with a new gasket for less than that.
