ok i wanted shave my gas door, and i was thinking of cutting the piece with the cap in the gas door and pasting it in the bed right next to the original position of the gas door. Like cut same size square or circle and weld it there.

Ok, so will this method work? I dont want to relocate the gas tank nor cut or extend the hose, or have to take the bed out, unless its not much hassle.

is relocating without actually moving the gas tank a difficult task?

Any suggestions in what to do?

you would still need to modify the neck to fit in the opposite direction.

i wouldn't think so. that is basically what i planned on my s-10. i planned to cut the side out of the bed and weld it to the bed floor. then shave the hole. just be really careful when welding near the tank.
