I may be purchasing another '78 p/u on Saturday (08/14/2010), but it needs to be towed. I was wondering if anyone in the area had an auto transport I could borrow or rent? If I have to rent, I'd rather float some money towards a fellow enthusiast than U-haul.

If so, I would like to pick it up Friday evening and return it Saturday late evening or Sunday. The owner would like me to pick it up Saturday early morning, and I live in Lake Stevens (near Everett) and the truck at Fort Lewis.

Do you care if the front bumper/valance gets a little banged up? If you need a hand Saturday let me know. We have the tow truck. That beastly ugly one I borrowed your costco tires in that one day.

As it is, something else screwed up with the miss's Suburban, and now there is a horrible tap I have to diagnose. Blasted GM's.

I haven't seen the truck, but have had several e-mails back and forth between the owner and I to get a decent enough picture, so it is almost like waiting to open up that present that you are sure you have on Christmas.

Hell, I figure I could get more than $50 out of scrapping it if it is a total basket, but not before getting a running motor in it to tearass and jump it a few times! LOL
