so im generating buzz on the other sister site customtacos.com about these cruises i had recently been unable to hold due to the down time on the truck. since im close to bein up and going again i am gonna be holding a cruise meet here in about 4 weeks (sometime mid june) and would like for all you guys here that are well and able to, join in on this cruise and show some old school toyota flavor mixed in with the new. we usually meet up in a local area around town and gather for the cruise, then head out east out of town away from all the traffic and busy streets (and popo hustle) and cruise the long stretch of roads out there. usually stop at a cool place for a bit to eat and finish it off with a julian pie co. stop there in santa ysabel. if any of you guys wanna join in, post up, i will keep this thread updated as to when and where this will take place a preview of what these things are like.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRIh...6019&highlight=cruise&feature=player_embedded
Im down but where at exactly? I don't wanna drive too far from Chula Vista. haha.... Why not cruise at the beach? PB possibly although I know you said away from traffic? BTW I need an alignment. Got any plugs SD Yota?
they usually involve a nice long drive out through the east end of the county...... like past eastlake and out through those roads. old hwy 94 to dulzura, campo, jacumba area and such.... alighnment wise it changes from time to time..... lots of places go through techs regularly so you never know who's alighning your truck. so i usually talk to the tech in charge of alighnment and ask him how he alighns the trucks and what equipment he usues..... if he knows his **** and realize what simple alighnment my truck needs then i do the alighnment there. if he tells me all this weird other **** my truck dont need or has adjustment on then i leave.
i use dual tone in PB. We take all of our cars there and dont have any problems with them. If my shop had an allignment rack I would invite everyone to come here, but sadly my boss wont spring for one since dual tone is so close...
Im down for HWY 94. It's like my backyard im not even far from there plus I always ride out there on my street bike. Got some nice turns. Not only that but if the HWY 94 photo guy is out there, he'll take snaps of every truck. Let me know wassup. Keep me updated.
looking like 2nd or 3rd sunday of june.... i know the guy yer talkin about...... he's out there usually on the biggest longest banked corner out there goin up the hill after the tecate turn off. i used to pass that guy..... takes a good shot too. i might have to make a trip out there see if he's gonna be there so i can get his card again. this is gonna be a pretty big meet.... already estimating around 20 trucks....... and thats just trucks not attendees. this is gonna hea out through 94 all the way out to jacumba, down the 8 into ocotillo and up banner grade. from there we go through julian, into santa ysabel and into julian pie company for pie. then we will come back down the 67 onto the 8 and end it at the hooters off of mission vally.
