Can you put sail panel mirrors on a door that originally doesn't have 'em? It looks like you can just drill some holes on the outside. The mounting holes are already there on the inside.

I just awnsered my own question. It can be done. I'll put pics up in my build thread this weekend when I get the passenger mirror. The warehouse only had the driver side, the passenger was at another warehouse.

Bolts right up...there should be a panel on the inside/outside of the door-(front corner where the mirror mounts) that comes off & most of the time the mounting holes are already there!!

I went from the door mounted black mirror to a sail panel mounted chrome mirror.

The holes are there on the inside but not the outside. So I used my unibit and drilled a pilot hole from the inside, then drilled the rest of it from the outside. I'll take pics of the process when I get the other mirror.

Yup...those be the ones. Are yours plastic? Cause I think I got some cheap ones. Oh well, they'll work for now.
