I recently bought some Hooker headers for a RN12/8RC. Looking at the stock set-up, I see the intake manifold is attached to the exhaust, and I believe exhaust is recirculated into the intake. The hooker headers have a threaded 1" nipple on top, but otherwise are a closed system. Does anyone know if you can use the stock intake with these? Perhaps block off the section that is open?

I looked for other intakes, and found a Cannon with a Weber side-draft but $589 was kind of spendy.
