Well i did something very very stupid i thought i would cut out the webbing on my grill and was too lazy to take it off and do it right but long story short i cut one of the hard lines on the reciever and lost all my refrigerant, the one that goes across the condenser..i think its a liquid line..the hole is very small and was wondering if i can patch it with anything or should i just buy a new line? The hole is not very big at all..i'll put a pic up later...i know i know go ahead and say it
i've tig welded a/c lines that had cracks and holes in them, but it was on giant dumptrucks where parts were unavailable for a couple weeks.
the line is very thin,i was thinking of brazing or even JB weld but dont wanna get any debris in the line
i'm not having any luck finding a used one..do you think this kind of line could be hand made at a shop??
thanks for checking man....my dealer has it for $50..still cant believe i did that what a dumbass I think i'm just going to buy my own vacuum pump and gauge set..Anyone heard of Viot?? They are on Ebay and have a company website,Looks like everything is made in the US too.. i've been looking for a Robinair but they are expensive http://www.viot.us/HVAC/
i just picked up a set of r-134a/r12 gauges from napa. got them for $110. i actually used them to charge my house since it's the same fittings as r12.
