So after a year of completing my suicide door project ,I'm jumping into repainting & hammering out the door areas, & addressing the low spots through out the truck!
The drivers door had a big dent that was added @ the last show of of season, just wish I'd been there when happened! Door rework is coming along! And the top will be the same ,will be adding a black peal to the bottom & I hope some other to all !
Wow Gary. Two weeks ago it was clean and we had a great time out driving it. Progress is looking good though. I'm working with my girl to come out for a show in the spring. Can't wait. Keep the photos rolling.
looking good since I cant help but add my two cents, to get a really nice flat paint job i would prime the whole truck with a 2k primer (heavy build) so that small imperfections can be blocked out and you can still apply a top coat to it no problem.
Never use Bondo! When I started this never ending project, I was told to use only projects used in body/paint shops. The brand used most often is EverCoat. I use long strand for high strength areas, short strand for build up , & metal glaze for finish coat. Great product!
The body work doesn't reflect a lot of bad dents, just my desire to have right! I thought I had blocked pretty well the first go around , I was wrong!
When I saw it from a distant at dangerzone it looked good didn't see anything wrong with it. Maybe it's one of those things tht you the owner see more imperfections than anyone else
