relocating gauges

    Truck:
    1981 2wd longbed..starsky and hutch colored
    so i have the factory gauge cluster ('81) that sits below the air vents and am considering relocating them. if i buy a new cluster, all i have to do is re-route the wires and then splice right?i will be using the same gauges (ie: fuel and battery)
