Heres the deal. I bought this truck already bagged almost 4 years ago, It was a daily and since Oct of 08 It has be in project stage, I have redone almost EVERYTHING except the actual metal suspension itself. Well its time to get this thing laid out and my first steps are flat frame. On my old 17s it laid flat tranny crossmember which is evident by looking at the old cross member, I Switched to 20s and then back to 18s over the last 3 months And without paying too much attention I went ahead and made my tranny x member and got it ready t lay out (minus the Z) And to my lovely surprise, it wont lay anything up front on 18s. So whats my options? Bag setup is SOLID, welded very nice front and back, Im moving the rear mounts on the back since that doesnt lay on 18s now either, Should I get spindles and call it a day or try to redo the front? Fab work doesnt bother me Im Icar certified welder and I have done everything else on this truck (suicides to motor rebuild) And I have built quite a few other trucks. What do ya think?

Post up some pics, I'm sure that the fix is easier than you think. Try to get pics of full extension and compression front and rear. Also pics of the actual bag mounts...

A pic is worth a thousand words.

Wednesday will be the next time I can get to my buddys shop, The rear mounts I have figured out, there is a 1 inch spacer between link bar and lower mount, So Im taking that out and moving the upper mounts up a hair and making trying to find a shorter shock, I will try and get pics of the front, Some people are saying doing a balljoint flip, I havent heard much about doing that on a bagged 89-95?

i'd make sure the balljoints aren't binding and keeping it up before cutting anything up or buying spindles. doing a balljoint flip will help, even with bags. it's good for about 3/4".

if everything isn't bound up, and is nicely installed then i'd say do spindles. you can find them from a private seller, usually new but never used for pretty cheap if you cruise a few forums.

Also, if the firewall hasn't been clearanced, it will be required for the 18's and 20's.

Firewall clears on these 18s as it sits, Where as my 20s laid out on the firewall, I plan on tubbing it here soon when I body drop it, Just holding off on that now cause I have trailer fenders up front and waiting to redo the whole engine bay all at once... Nothin is binding from what I can see, I'll put it up on the lift over there this week and put the tranny jack under one tire and see what its doing, Pretty sure its bag fully compressed

I've been keeping an eye on alot of forums, Been in the scene a while so I end up on every forum known to man haha
