Hey everyone! I perused the forum a bit and it seemed like a pretty good place. Not a lot of flaming/b.s. and plenty of info so I figured I'd join. I'm from the Montana and started with the big minis had an 83 with the standard goodies to go off road and currentlying have an 84 standard cab turned ext cab, sunroof added, home brew flat bed roll cage, bumpers etc. Dual transfer cases and arb front and rear lockers. Well I've always had a thing for lowered trucks just never been a mini. Picked up a wrecked 92 ext cab with a 3.slo and fixed er all up. Just picked up a 4.8 ls motor and harness that I'll mate with a 4l60e. For a little more forward motivation. I'm a mobile electronics installer/specialist by trade sibif you have any questionsfeel free to hit me up! I'll get some pics up soon.
Welcome to the site. We don't care if it lifted or lowered as long as its toyota. Enjoy your time here and post lots of photos.
Thanks for the warm welcome. Here's a couple pics of the trucks... -The "Big Truck" 84 ext cab grafted s cab carbed (soon to be 22RE swapped) 4runner sunroof cut in dual transfer cases ARB lockers F & R 4.88 gears 35" Toyos (wishing for 40" IROKs Pretty basic other stuff Before... After... -The "Hoopty" 92 ext cab with custom front end damage lol Busted out the plasma and the welder and put in a new front clip 18" blingin' wheels Modest sound quality based stereo *Modest relative to my last stereo, if youre a real audio junkie hit me up for details lol* (Pioneer DEH-80PRS running active to JL Audio XR speakers through a JL 300/4, JL CP108 enclosure off of a Boston GT2300.) This is what the 4.8 Chev LS engine is going in. That will probably be a spring project. Other than that new doors and make it one color! Not even close to 100% but its come a long way in the course of a month
Thanks guys. Been reading a lot of cool builds and good info on things I was wondering. Been very helpful so far. Although its made me have to stop and say "No! No! It's my daily driver, I live in Montana. NO!!!" Lol! I may still have to get it to sit a little lower tho. Got a quick project I'm probably gonna knock out before winter though. I'm itching to bob the bed a couple inches. The over hang of the bed in the rear is just a little disproportional for my liking.
