Anyone know if a rear window from an 89 will fit an 85, or did they change the cab in those years.

84-88 and 89-95 are different. Newer also has seperate windows for standard and extended cabs.

 

84-88 back windows are different from standard to x cab too.

 

I couldn't remember if they were and didn't wanna say for sure. Good to know. I have a 79-83 back slider if that helps ya

 

No, I have a slider, was looking for a solid and some one on craigslist here had an 89 for $25. Thanks for the info though, and I'll keep looking.

 

i have a 86 window in my hilux. i stuck the back window from my 89 against it and they appear to be identical.

 

hey guys, ive personally fitted most of these windows and here's how it goes.

ALL standard cabs from 84 through 2004 are all same fit and gasket. 95.5 through 2004 extra cabs are also same fit and will transfer over.

84-88 xcab windows do not interchange to any others and are specific.

all 89-94 xcab windows do not interchange and are specific.

 

How do you have an 86 window in the hilux? Fancy gasket or welded ins new frame?
