Pretty sure my leaf springs worn. Tried 3" lifting blocks and still not lifting the rear very much. Has anyone tried rear coil overs for a quick lift. I looked at add a leaf but all the websites state it will fit 4x4's only. I since installed new rear monroe sensa trac shocks and still not enough lift. looking to raise the rear on a budget ,nothing crazy.

side note- I am running 16" rims.

    Any help would be appreciated.

88toyota22re; u added 3 inch blocks no lift did you flip put the axle on the bottom of the leaf spring ? A flip kit as they call it

If u added three inch blocks and didn't get a substantial lift u either have severely worn leaf spring or maybe even drop leafs were added to the truck at some point ?
If your on a budget you may wanna check the junkyards for a newer used set they may be in better shape

I bought the truck from the original owner so I know the old man did not have the drop springs. I did have my friend help me with the lifting blocks and from the instructions from summit racing I believe we did them correct. Unless somehow I really messed up and installed them wrong. I may have to check the junk yards too. ever try and put a add a leaf on a 4x2 yoda like mine? Im not finding much info on it. Thanks again

are your leaf springs above or below the axle?If below then the 3" block will lower it. If above then it will lift the truck.

Hey we all make mistakes ..well there's your problem

In order to do what the guy did in my photo I think you'll need a flip kit
U could just lower the truck with that block on top of leafs and axle on top of block will get u 3 inch drop

All I wanted was the 3" lift from the block. I obviously installed them ass backwards

Must caution you if u try to use that block as a lift block with out the flip kit u could have a safety issue as the Toyota axle has a flat bracket on the axle that slides into a hole in the leaf spring locking it from movement placing the axle under the leaf spring this bracket will no longer function and will be in the way of the bottom mounting plate strongly advise against that for safety issues .. Essentially what u have is either a lift block for trucks with axles on the bottom of the leaf from the factory or a lowered block for trucks with axles on top of the leafsprings.

I just wanted the extra 3" of rear lift. I dropped it instead of raising it. I didn't notice a big difference because I put bigger rims on at the same time

Have you tride to put a shackle that will give you some lift depending on the size of it

Try adding leafs to the pack or using a larger shackle. And in order to do lift or drop the blocks need to be in between the leaf springs and axle, wether you get lift or drop depends on the order everything is in.

You can actually take leaf springs from a 4x4 pickup and use them in the stock pack to add a some lift and stiffness
