    Rear end swap

a rear end swap to an 8" housing I was just wondering
if the 7.5" spline can go onto the 8" housing to keep the
    5 lug lmk thanks

What I've been told is that the 7.5 is a 28 spline shaft, and the 8" is a 30 spline shaft. This makes things weird for me, because I have an 8" rear end with 5 lug shafts (2WD, 1 ton springs). If my shafts went bad I'd have to swap to either a total 7.5 rear end, or use 6 lug shafts. That would mean I'd try to find 6 lug front hub rotors to match. Rumor has it that other Japanese front rotors, especially Nissan, will fit the Toyota front spindles.

2 wheel drive V6, turbo and 1ton all have 30 spline shafts and an 8" diff.
