I have a 93 toyota pickup 4x4 V6 3.0 Xcab. The rear end blew a few months ago and I cannot find a stock replacement for it anywhere in the country apparently. It had 4.56 gears with ABS currently. Can anyone help? I wouldn't mind switching to a ford rear if anyone has a suggestion.

Are the ABS sensors in the axle housing at the ends or on the 3rd member in the center? If they're on the housing then any generic V6 automatic equipped 4runner will have the 3rd member you need. I'm running one in my auto x truck right now actually. :D 4.56's are a riot in a 2 wheel drive truck. :D

There is on sensor on the top of the drop in carrier. The truck is a 5 speed.

Pickups with abs aren't all that common. Your best bet would be to pull the 3rd and have new gears put in.

yup, like the white trash said. might just be cheaper to get a 3rd memeber/gears from a junk yard and rebuild ur stock.

If it wasn't for the abs ring being in the 3rd member it'd be a simple deal to find a factory set of 4.56's to drop in. That's the only reason I'd recommend getting a rebuilt diff. There are plenty of vendors that will build a 3rd member for $4-500.
