I've searched Google but haven't come up with an answer. I just bought a 1987 2WD Xtra Cab with 70,000 original miles. I've owned an 87 and a 91 but haven't been around Toyota trucks for a while. The rear bumper on my "new" '87 is dented pretty bad. Rather than replace it with a stock bumper I was thinking that a rear bumper off a the first gen (1995) Tacoma would look good on it. I don't plan on doing anything radical to it as it will be used for commuting and Home Depot runs for the most part. I know just about anything is possible given enough time, energy, skill, and money but was hoping someone could tell me that they have done it or would know if it would be a direct bolt on or at least just a fabrication of the mounting brackets only with no modifications to the bumper itself required. Thanks
welcome to toyotaminis. not sure on the bumper but i would imagine some bracket mods would let it work. also its easier to load the home depot goods when the truck is lower!!!! it's easier on your back
