    Plans,

    Strip it down.
    Get it running.
    Primer.
    Drop it real low.
    Drive it.

So far since getting it last week we've managed to get it back from LA to San Luis Obispo only using 3 different AAA cards... Broke college student way. Pulled a lot of the motor apart to find that rat sh*t had made it into the intake manifold. But the oil was honey. Re set the timing got some plug wires and bam started right up. Now stripping all the paint off and going to do some wiring then when money comes get the motor more dialed to drive it and pay DMV.

More pics will come the motor is disgusting but i'll have a before and after for that thing.

P.S. This is a low budget thread and might get somewhat slow at times with funding and time so sorry to anyone who wants to see stuff done overnight.

Looks like a cool project! I'm happy you decided to go with a Ford powerplant rather than a GM! :D

    Cool.

Im sure the ford v6 is cheap. Would be really awesome with a yota v6. But any swap is cool in my book. Ive seen a nissan v6 in a foxbody so its what ya like.

    Post tons of pics.

But the toyota V6's sucked til the Tacoma's. Haha. And I would personally put in a nice set of vinyl buckets, drop it to about 3" off the ground, get it running good, and drive it every day. Basically the same as my 78 only its orange. :D

Original schmidginal. I would totally rock it that way. But a nice solid color will look good for those who don't like driving things that look like they just got dragged out of a swamp

hahahaha you got a good laugh outta me for that redneckness. We used Jasco and stripped it. Used the leaf blower to get big pieces left over before the WD40 coat. ;) It'll rust overnight living 9 blocks from the ocean.

Anyone know of a good source for ford capri motor parts? I'm in need of a 74-77? 2.8 capri water outlet off of the intake manifold. It's pretty much unheard of now sadly. :-/ found one for 80 dollars shipped.

    Rebuilt the brake master.
Plumbed the coolant lines from hell...
Got a gas tank in the bed.
Idles go to put it in drive....
    Nada...

    No fluid...
Added a quart then could feel it get into gear.
Going to get a filter and fluids tomorrow take it around the block hopefully.... Praying this tranny isn't total junk. Pretty sure it's a C4 Ford... Going to look at it in more detail tomorrow.

Dropped the trannys pan today it's a C4 got a filter and gasket let it drain out what it had in it. Added 3 quarts to start with cause god knows how much is in the torque converter... Put it in gear and papapapapapapapapa she goes. Went up the street but it's a 2 man job right now till it's tuned right. Gas tank in the bed and battery is sketch ghettoness.

    Hit the road real soon.

    Pics to come.
